Our second annual Downtown Chowdown will kick off on Thursday, June 6th at Union Pizza & Brewing Co. We will be live streaming our interview to Facebook (afterward, all videos will be available here) beginning at 6:00 PM.
Changes this year are aplenty. We have increased the number of participating restaurants to 12 in the downtown and riverfront area, including the two new breweries. Secondly, we’ve turned this into a competition amongst the restaurants. Each participant will compete for the highest number of gift certificate redemptions during the 10-week series. So, encourage people to redeem their gift certificates at their favorite restaurant! Lastly, the Final Chowdown is scheduled for Saturday, August 24th. However, rather than an eating competition, the restaurant with the most redeemed gift certificates will throw a party. We will pass on the coveted “Golden Chicken Leg” trophy for the winner to host until next year!
This year we are giving out one hundred $10 gift certificates each month (SIGN UP HERE), two $25 gift certificates on KJ Country 96.5 and Real Rock Z103.3, weekly (listen every Thursday for a chance to win).
