Fergus Falls was recently designated as a Trail Town because of the confluence of its many walking, hiking and biking trails. These include the Central Lakes Trail, the Glacial Edge Trail, and the North Country National Scenic Trail all of which join up at various points as they wind through the City and along the river. The FFDRC recognizes the importance of this designation to Fergus Falls and has been involved in the planning of one or more trailheads in the City.
