(Fergus Falls, Minn.)
The Fergus Falls Downtown Riverfront Council is pleased to announce that the organization is growing by two. With mounting opportunities for growth in Fergus Falls, particularly the downtown and riverfront areas, there is an increasing need for additional support. The FFDRC strives to not only revitalize our businesses but maintain a sense of community through collaboration and promotion.
“I am so excited to have Ciera and Tim be part of our team,” said Steve Eriksson, President. “I can’t think of two better qualified people to help move our mission forward. Both are wonderful people who are dedicated to Fergus Falls and we are optimistic about the future of our organization and this community.”
Ciera Campion was hired on as an Administrative Assistant to assist with research, digital marketing and event coordination. She is a Fergus Falls native who recently returned home to be closer to family. Prior to that she worked with WCCO in Minneapolis. Expect to see her at the upcoming Downtown Chowdown events, interviewing restaurants and bolstering community values.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve my hometown. Upon my return to Fergus Falls, I have seen great progress and I cherish the opportunity to aid in further strengthening this great community.”
Tim Mathiesen was hired to take over Communications and will oversee marketing, media and website communications. Tim and his family have lived in Fergus Falls for several years and is employed by Bethel Lutheran Church but has a strong history of volunteerism, which ultimately led him to the FFDRC.
“I’ve been watching the work and plans for the FFDRC and have been looking forward to what that means for our community. There are some really great things happening right now. I’m excited to serve this organization by helping communicate their vision and by sharing the stories of the businesses and people who are working hard to make Fergus Falls a great place to live.”
